What's the best book for CR?

Besides the BB, what would you recommend for CR? I have Barrons Critical Reading Workbook and the Direct Hits.

You might wanna try Gruber’s CR and MH SAT. However I find Barron’s CR the best. And obviously, direct hits is THE best book for SAT vocab. Gruber has good strategies and practice exercises, MH SAT is overall one of the best SAT books, the writer even gives u hi email address so u can email him if u have an ask-able query, and the writer even replies to ur email personally!
Hope u find them useful

I feel like the questions in Barrons are unclear and sometimes difficult. Are there any other books you would recommend? Does MH refer to McGraw Hill? Oh, and is there a major difference between Direct Hits 4th and latest edition?

Bump, anyone?

McGraw Hill has this 100 skills you need to know Critical Reading (it also has some writing stuff in there too). It’s really helpful and gained me an extra fifty points.

This same book in the math version caused me to break 700

Yes MH stands for McGraw Hill. Yes, as u said, some questions in Barron’s CR are unclear, so its hard to practice them. In that case, MH will be good for you, just as @gibbons also said. Gruber’s CR too has some unclear questions, so yeah, MH will be good for u.
And I don’t know much about direct hits latest editions. All I know is that it is THE best vocab.book, based on my friends’ reviews and based on what I got to know from here-
