Hi,
I am wondering what’s the best college for girls good at math to apply for?
Me myself is good at math and always qualify for AIME. Generally GPA 3.9(W/out AP)
6APs and expert violin skill.
Give me some suggestions please! Thnx

why would gender matter? Isn’t the question already answered in the dozens of threads about which schools are good for math boys?

When I was a math girl, math girls appreciated the support and cameraderie of other math girls. Women’s colleges and most large schools with strong math programs should provide this; many smaller colleges too. There are dozens of great schools for you, OP. Drill down a bit: urban vs. rural? weather? within driving distance? are you eligible for need-based aid or looking for merit aid? what state are you “in-state” for?

I’m sure you have thought of MIT but it is good to come up with a balanced list that includes reaches, matches, and safeties, including financial safeties, too.

DD2 is a math major and seriously considered Smith. She ended up at Lewis and Clark.

That actually suprises me a bit. I thought those colleges with great math programs appreciate math girls more than math boys since math boys are a ton more than math girls. like mit.

Location? (City, rural, cold, hot, north, south, west…)

SAT/ACT?
