What's the best Summer Housing?

Summer housing is offered in on-capus apartments. It’s $1258 for just 5 weeks with mandatory meal plan. What do you think? Is there a better way?

Personally I think that’s a huge rip-off because off campus housing can be found at half that price, but that also involves finding some method of transportation to campus (whether it is UCSD shuttle, city bus, or car).

ERC apartments are the nicest but TMC apartments are closer to central campus. They’re kinda older and not AS nice but still pretty legit.

Also try looking on Craigslist, there are usually a lot of students who go home for the Summer and will sublet their place for pretty cheap.

yeah, campus is pretty dead in the summer (especially at night), and if you don’t have a car, you’re effectively restricted to the UTC area. it’s worth moving off-campus, possibly getting a job and paying for a car, since the UCSD bubble really isn’t all that entertaining.
