What's the BEST thing about going to college for you?

Because mummy doesn’t really know what college guys think about.

The girls.

not worrying about getting into college

Freedom!!!

The lack of a bedtime. And alcohol. Both are kinda mutually inclusive I s’pose.

Getting away from my pscycho mother.

^ ME TOO. i cant wait to get out of this house, mostly.

Finally going to America, meeting new people, learning from teachers who actually want to teach. Starting over.

dude where do you live now?

I just turned 33 and I’m a university student for the first time. I always wanted to go, but never had a chance (I’ve been living on my own since 16, always working to support myself) so now I’ve finished up at one career and I’m ready for change.

I’m very happy about the knowledge that I will be soaking up from all over the campus. I’m also happy about the amazing things that are available to students, like health care, extracurriculars, hikes, clubs, cheap world travel, farmer’s markets, etc.

I’m also happy that I finally will have a college degree to go with this new world of opportunity. It hasn’t always been easy without it; although I did just as well as people around me with advanced degrees, I think I will do much better with one or two of my own.

I’m very happy to be where I am. I feel a little awkward, as I’m a decade older than many of my peers, but I look young enough that people don’t seem to think I’m too out of place (unless I stay up too late or have one drink too many before bed, then I definitely look my age.) But this opportunity is unparalleled, and I know I’m getting a lot more out of university now than I would have even five or six years ago.

So those are the best things about being in college, for me.

i was told that only college friends will last forever, so i think meet some friends and learn a life skill would be the best thing of college.

leaving the house.
learning a skill that will earn me moneyyy
hopefully having a super awesome roommate

Finally being away from my deranged mother.

Other than that, believe it or not, I actually look forward to the education and knowledge I will, hopefully, gain.

finally…and i mean finally living life outside of the prison my uptight/conservative parents call a home.

Living by myself and being independent. I don’t dislike my home life, but college is so much more fun.

Hey guys, enjoy your freedom, but if you haven’t had much freedom before, be careful. You still need to be able to control yourself from drinking all night, doing drugs, and the like. And you need to be able to force yourself to study harder than you ever have in high school (if you’re an engineer).

^This, haha.
Getting out of high school. It’s fun and all, but I’m ready for a change of scenery & academics. When I was a freshman, I was terrified of leaving high school. I think it’s just the enjoyment of the process of growing up. Lots of opportunities too! Also, being in a city that doesn’t close at 9pm.
& maaaybe the guys. And friends.
I might have been momentarily distracted from my tour guide’s spiel when the large amount of attractive guys wandered around campus. One more year!! hey, I’m being honest, hahaha. Don’t judge :stuck_out_tongue: I’m eager to learn.

Freedom! to make my own choices, to do what I feel like.

Also, the chance to meet new people and party.
And to actually learn stuff. ;)

Because those guys are Uke and won’t admit that in public. I on the other hand happen to be proud of it ^_^
