What's the Big Deal?

<p>Harvard— What’s the big deal? Believe me, I have connections with Harvard. I have an extended family that’s all part of the “institution.” When I walk into Harvard Yard, I see the aging buildings, the tradition, the prestige. But really, is it the right place for you? Why should 20,000+ apply each year?</p>

<p>I’m not applying. This thread is for others who are not applying to discuss it and why they decided not to:</p>

<p>I don’t think this is a big deal! Why do you seem to want to defend your decision not to apply? </p>

<p>I hope current students/admissions officers/etc aren’t arguing that Harvard is the perfect school for everyone.</p>
