As I’m looking at the four year plan for my major, I see general education free elective and Business/Free elective. What’s the difference between both of them? are they the same or?
Gen Eds can be from any area. Your Business Free Electives need to come from the Business college/curriculum. You might choose to take an extra marketing class or a class on business start ups that isn’t one of your required business courses.
Without a link to the course plan, it is hard to say for sure, but it may mean something like the following:
“Free elective” = any course that provides the needed number of credits
“General education” = a course that covers a general education requirement
“Business” = a business course
“General education / free elective” = a course fulfilling a general education requirement, or any course if you have already completed your general education courses
“Business / free elective” = a business course, or any course if you have already fulfilled the required number of business courses
