What's the eaiest way to get in?

I heard it’s eaiser to get in Stanford if I apply for an unpopluar major, and transfer after I get in? Is that true? If it is true, why aren’t more people going down that path?

thanks

Only if you’ve displayed actual interest in the said unpopular major. If you picked some totally obsolete like Latin Studies or something (don’t know if that’s an actual major) and had nothing in your extracurriculars to back that up, they’ll know you’re bsing them.

Now if Stanford actually had a lack of majors in an area you’re both interested in and have shown dedication to, I don’t see any reason it could hurt you.

Stanford doesn’t accept based on major, so it doesn’t matter. That’s why approx. 50% of intended majors for freshmen are pre-med based.

Stanford doesn’t really care what major you put down, they allow you to change it any time.

There is NO easy way to get into Stanford. It takes blood, sweat, and tears…and it shouldn’t be ANY OTHER WAY.

answering your question is like saying what’s the best way to die.
Honestly people…

^Hahahaha…best response CATP! Way to make things less serious. ;)

the only way i could see this working is if you were a girl and wanted to do computer science or some form of engineering

Donating mad $$$$$$$

be in pro golf at age 15
or cure lymphoma

There’s only one way to get in and that’s the hard way. Don’t even think about trying to game the system!

making your parents donate a building is probably the easiest way to get in

LOL “Orange County”

Play a sport that stanford has D1 in like tennis. And be #1 in the nation.

be an athletic recruit (and you’ll also get scholarship probably)

Hmm, how common is a linguistics major, anybody know?

my french teacher was a linguists major, but other than that, I have no idea
