30 seconds?45?
Does it vary for each section? (I.e 30seconds for math, 45 for cr, and 15 for writing?)
And last how do you self consciously acknowledge you are spending too much time on a question without deliberately gazing at your watch?

Answer: There really isn’t a “golden rule.”

Pacing is something that you have to develop for yourself. You can’t try and allot x seconds per problem and then move on as soon as you pass your time limit. I know this doesn’t sound like a useful answer, but after you practice enough you will get a strong sense of whether a problem is worth the time or if it’s a lost cause.

A big factor in deciding whether to move on is if more time will help. If it’s a CR problem that you have no clue on, then skip it. But if it’s a math problem where you just need a bit more time and you know how to do it, then finish up. Generally, I feel the pacing for writing is faster.

That’s what I figured since consciously if I feel a problem is “troubling” I circle it and choose to come back to it later. I appreciate the help.
