whats the hardest engineering major?

I can’t stand this thread. Why won’t this stop. Please stop. Please God let it end. There is no answer to this question.

See, AMT, we got to the point that you’re at a long time ago. People kept dredging this sort of thread up and us thousand-posters would be upset. But now that I’m past the 2,500 post mark, I know that the trick is to just get mellow about it, and be absolutely merciless at sabotaging people who try to actually answer the question. Because you’re right, there is no answer. Go ahead; try it. Start talking about ice cream.

Remember, all of you thread-dredgers: there are no stupid questions. There are only stupid people. Happy Friday!!

Coincidentally, I just ran out of ice cream and have to head over to HEB today to pick some more up. The Horror!

Can we request to have this thread locked so people stop bumping it?

You can request all you’d like, but the mods don’t lock things just because they’re obnoxious, unfortunately. Plus, new ones just keep cropping up. There are a myriad in the archives. You can find them by just scrolling back a few pages.

DH and I bought some awesome Moose Tracks ice cream tonight! Ymm! So what if it’s 5 degrees F outside?? That was one thing that surprised me about Maine - Mainers love their ice cream, all year round.

PS - I started to sign DH up for the Structural II exam in April, but I just couldn’t hit the Enter key when I saw the registration cost - $815! WTH??? I think I’ll wait until next month to sign him up. Yikes.

MTA: boneh3ad - you and I are SENIOR MEMBERS now! Whoo hoo.

Ugh. One of my letters of recommendation was postmarked one day late, apparently, so California’s not letting me take the PE exam in April like I was supposed to. They’re deferring my application. Cashed my $275 check before they told me that, though, and I forgot to tell my husband that I’d written the check, and he paid off the credit card that morning, so we overdrafted… Thirty dollar fee to add insult to injury. Stupid Golden State. The Structural II will probably be a round thousand by the time I qualify for it, if California hasn’t bankrupted itself yet. fume…

Also, ice cream is good no matter what the weather is like.

Congrats on senior membership! =)

Don’t worry… you get 1/2 of your money back… (I think) ^^

That’s too bad, aibarr! How frustrating. I hope you do get some back!

No, because I still want to take it. They’re just deferring me until October. Shrug… more time to study.

The hardest engineering of all time is civil…it is the oldest one and the most prtigious one as well…CIVIL IS COOOL!!

Stop it. The horse is dead. What you are saying is incorrect and I’m even practicing in the field of civil engineering. Contribute something useful or don’t post.

(PS: update… I’ve been accepted to take the October 2010 PE exam out in California. Hooray!)

Congrats!

Any word on whether ice cream will be served?

aibarr, good luck on the test!! DH is thinking about taking the SE III exam out there then! He’s pretty sure he passed the SE II test he took a couple of weeks ago.

Honestly I agree with those who said it depends on the individual more than anything. It’s like relativity, we are all our own frames of reference since there is no fixed point we all share, so in reality all our answers are correct to our own frames of reference(ourselves). What I find easy may be difficult for the next person and the other way around. You are in outer space with notthing around, everyone is movig at a different speed, an there is no fixed point to compare to, now anything passes by, we all see it to be moving at a diff speed, but who is right? The answer is all of us since we all have our own frame of reference

If you don’t quit picking at it, it’s never going to heal.

Mechenginh, for your first post you dug up a thread that’s over five months old? Ack.

Ha still keeping this thread alive! But anyhow i believe that what ever you have a passion for you should pursue. With that said after my departure from the military, ten years to be exact I decided to pursue my degree in EE(Micro electronics). My reasons were that i have always been fascinated with electronics. With that said i had not been in a regular academic routine in over 12 years. So no doubt it was and still is very hard but you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you overcame those difficulties which in turn will make you a more effective engineer. So to answer the question pursue which ever engineering degree you have a passion for. Saying that one engineering degree is more difficult then the other is crazy.

OK, who has the ice cream menu handy? I want to try something different today.

If you don’t quit picking at it, it’s never going to heal. ;)

What’s with the irritating influx of one-post malcontent n00bs lately? Does Homer really have that much time on his hands?
