On the Academic Calendar, it says that the last day of Open Registration is Aug 19. However, for some personal reasons, I have to arrive on the 20th. Would it be too late for me? I am a rising sophomore, by the way.

Shinywing if you are talking about class registration and are currently a freshman at USC you will register for classes online this Spring. If you are a transfer student you will register at orientation. Or, as soon as you arrive on campus. besure to let your advisor know if the later is the case.

Usually sophomores, jrs. and srs. arrive just before classes start. That would be Aug 22.
If you are in on campus housing, it is helpful to arrive to claim your bed or room but there is sure to be something for you if you arrive on Aug. 20 or 21. Many local students move in when housing opens on move in day (the Wed. before classes start) and then go back home for a few days.
All of your class registration should be completed before you leave in spring. Sometimes you have to get a clearance to sign up for certain class (ie music if you are not a music major) and it takes time to track down the person to sign the Dclearance before you can officially enroll. You can probably do that during the first days of classes anyway.
