I go to Coastline and Golden West. My current gpa is a little low, but I can definitely get it up to a 3.2. I am an English major. What are my chances? I’m terrible at math: I failed math 30 once, then took Liberal Arts Math (math 100). I am very good at the classes close to my major, however.
What do you think my chances are? I’m concerned because some of my classes are online and I’ve heard CSUs look down on those. Also, will I be considered not competitive because I’ve taken Lib Arts Math?
What’s the average gpa people get accepted with?
Thanks.

Looks like the average transfer last year came in with a 3.25 GPA.
See if you can re-take that math class and get the F replaced. It will improve your GPA significantly.
As long as the courses are listed on Assist and are transferable, they don’t care if they are on-line or in-person.
Not CSU but I know someone from high school who attended UC Berkeley with a 3.3 gpa.
Get an AAT degree. You can do the math, but choose those classes as carefully as possible, use ratemyprofessor and consider you may need to build up to transferable math going through algebra. I had a very bad GPA and hated math but passed everything and did well. You can too
The above is so correct, it’s so easy to get A’s if you know your professors.
