What's the point of SAT if many students got leaked info before test?

After I finished my test, I heard lots of students around me said that they recognized this is 2015 March US test… They read something like KEY INFO before test and remembered the correct answers for CR and SC… which are exactly what appeared in test.

I believe most of us have studied so hard for this test. I feel bit of unfair when those cheaters might get some 2250+ 2300+… What can we do?

I doubt Collegeboard is dumb enough to recycle the same test.

Was this an international student sitting, TPYLegend2400?

Yes. International SAT

@Pghimire Seems like CB always did the same…

@Pghimire It is.
@TPYLegend2400 Well, there’s a high chance that their “key info” was just the answers of the previous testers, which are highly unlikely to be 100% correct. A quick glance at the March thread can tell you that.
If somehow they got their hands on the official answers,… Well, in that case, they’ll be getting into good schools no matter what, simply because they have the power AND can pay for it.

I have heard that there can be problems with the International testing sites, as many educational consultants have access to the previous SAT exams, and that (amazingly) there can be instances, and have been, when a test is not released and many of the same questions repeated in an International exam which follows in just a short period of time, and the ECs have already exposed their students to the US exam.

Don’t know what you can do about it, but to report it.

I took the March 2015 US test so can you describe the passages just to confirm it really was

every international test is recycled. totally unfair.

You should write to the college Boards immediately and let them know. In some countries there is little oversight and it is possible that an administrator decided to give some students an advantage. I’d let the College Boards know about this right away.

What country??

I just read some of the October 2015 international and unfortunately it was the March 2015. I thought CB would stop recycling after the the incident when nearly everyone at a school in China received 2300+ What a shame.

@lostaccount Right. But except getting caught in exam centre, if they just remember the answers, well really hard to do with that. BTW I’m in HK. I heard some Chinese students talking about that.

@IneffableMind yep… It really was. Damn it
