What's up with citigroup recruiting?

<a href=“Citi | Global Investment Bank and Financial Services”>Citi | Global Investment Bank and Financial Services;

Click on the drop down menu for undergraduates. You’ll be quite surprised.

Most notable are the absences of Yale, Dartmouth, Duke, Northwestern.

And there are definitely some schools on the list that normally wouldn’t be considered targets (SUNYs and Dakota State, to name a few).

What gives?

Citigroup needs back office workers, and has an overabundance of applications for front-office IB so they don’t need to target top schools for recruiting?

Just guessing, but I doubt Dakota State will be sending into front office IB.

dakota state is a great school.

they are the #1 public comprehensive college in the midwest… hehe…

the_aspirant = rofl.

Yeah, they use Harvard and Princeton grads for back office work…

Well they have Dakota, Stonybook, Baruch, Adelphi, and Iona on the list. If you know anything about these colleges, you’d know they don’t have much of a rep. Or maybe that’s the reason you don’t know them???Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Yeah I agree some of the colleges on that list are pretty obscure. No clue how they ended up there while schools like Yale and Duke didn’t. Maybe they haven’t finalized the list of schools?
