I think so… my college counselor said that they should be done by the end of next week.

The past years it took them literally til late June…

ouch! That is just painful.

Was your college counselor saying that as a generalization about most schools? Or had he/she specifically contacted Columbia?

My counselor told my friend that’s on the wait list that Columbia had a higher yield than expected thnis year and they probably won’t be taking off the waitlist. He spoke with an adcomm officer.

Can anyone else verify this? [Please say no.]

Yea, does that apply to SEAS as well?

two kids i know in my school turned down SEAS. so that’s at least two out of like 5 that got in.

lol they accept more than they can; im referring to the yield rate.

right. and that’s about a 60% yield rate from my school, which isn’t exactly amazing.

thats 60% of 5 people; no disrespect im askin about the 500 or so that were accepted.

Um, small sample size. And isn’t the SEAS yield in the 2/3 - 3/5 range?

exactly, which is why i think that it’s possible that saying columbia has a very high yield rate this year might just be a speculation, at least for seas. and yeah, i know it’s a small sample size, but still…

anyways. sorry if the small sample size thing makes it irrelevant. :(

dont worry bout it; as you can tell we’re all stressed, anxious, frustrated, or all of the above. Even if the entire acceptance rate is 60%, we still dont know how much more students they accepted than can actually fit in the class… oh well think happy thoughts

If this thread is true, SEAS has gone to the waitlist.

Not legit, search his posts.

Yeah, it’s not true. He got into SEAS RD, not off the waitlist. Strange.

My heart stopped for no reason then…that was lame.
