What's your most boring class/subject?

Econ or Film Studies for me. I like studying film, but my professor makes it unbelievably dull.

Psychology. I’m glad I decided against majoring in it, because this class is atrocious.

Organic chemistry. For the love of all that is holy that has to be the longest two hours of my life. It goes by so slowly it’s making me reconsider my major if my future career focuses so much on it.
Who has two thumbs and doesn’t give a flying fig about electrons and their orbitals? This gal.

I would say my most boring classes thus far have been history and philosophy. I don’t blame the subjects though, those professors made it very unpleasant.

Management and Organization Theory, mostly because I learned a lot of this stuff in another management class that I took as an elective last semester. Unfortunately, this one is required for my major.

My geology class has interesting material because it’s about natural disasters, but the professor is a disaster himself. Apparently he’s super easy, but that doesn’t make up for the fact that he’s boring and puts his emotion into bouncing rather than using his voice.

Philosophy, management, and science classes can be absolute hell if the professor is so dull. I dropped one of my philosophy classes before the drop/add deadline because the professor was too smart to dumb it down. He had that “no *****” attitude and totally shot down students who attempted to analyze a dense material. It was just terrible. I switched to Art History and my professor is totally awesome - very mentally stimulating and makes the history of art very provoking.

My philosophy class. The subject matter I thought would be fine, and it is, it’s just that I find the professor boring to listen to for 75 minutes, and he makes us to do much small group work and gives you too much time to do it and it just gets old every day, and he makes really, really stupid jokes which just aren’t funny. He’s odd.

I found Calculus very boring! maybe if I had found it more interesting I would have done better…

WRITING !!! I had it 8:30 in the morning and he was so boring

philosophy is so boring

Currently my most boring class is astronomy…so boring and also difficult, worst combination. My cognitive psychology class is pretty boring too, it is my major but I hate the cognitive/perception aspects of psychology, they’re so technical and dry.

history by far

Physics… bleh.

My Stats and CS classes somewhat…

Both teachers use power point for all the information. That means I go online and get the power point later. No note taking = being talked at for an hour. The material isn’t boring… I don’t mind doing the homework or projects, but the lectures can be dull. However, I can’t say I can been terribly bored in any of my classes this semester.

Probably Yoga, ironically… I love it when we actually DO Yoga, but my teacher spends at least 30 minutes talking in this slow, monotonous voice that almost kills me. Even bio lecture is more exciting and I was never much of a science person.

Intro to Econ definitely. Deathly boring and I’m not even that interested in it, I just need it to take certain classes in my minor.

Most boring classes:

Business Law. You’re reading a 20 page report about two neighbors fighting over who owns a wooden fence and it just hits you: What if humans all died? Wouldn’t that be simpler? Before taking that class, I thought lawyers are overpaid slimebags turning delicate sociological issues into for-profit rackets. Now I realize they’re just creepy underpaid masochists.

Math you already know but you have to take anyway because you waited until the last minute to take a placement exam and showed up half asleep. Those are pretty boring.

I loved my biology lectures but HATED the ** biology labs**. 40 people packed into a closet-sized room that reeked of pickled frogs, filling out 500 page workbooks in dead silence. I literally fell asleep during a dissection.

Most exciting classes:

Philosophy. Other people party, I read Nietzsche. I’m saddened that this often makes other people’s ‘most boring’ list.

Political science. This was the only professor who I can honestly say affected me as a person. He was like 90 years old and just hilarious and made me wish I lived back when people like him were young. The “US Government” G.E. class is usually boring as hell but actual political science is great.

Programming labs… Graphic design… Anything interactive where you actually learn how to make something

I guess in general I hate theory(science & math) and principals (law) and love application (design & programming) and exploration (philosophy & poli sci).
