What’s your SAT score for the people who are applying to get the nomination?
Just curious? Mine is not that good. My twin brother got 1920, and I got 1800… yours? But I’m retaking again this October.

The individuals are more important than the whole score. Some MOC’s look at writing and some do not.

Incidentally, our senator gave a cutoff figure for an interview. My daughter’s score was lower than the cutoff but got an interview anyway.

Just take the SAT’s again in Oct, do your best and go from there - they are what they are - concentrate on the excellent parts of your “whole person score”.

I know. I was just curious. My extracurricular activities are awesome; such as leadership and sports. I got an email saying that my leadership and sports are awesome. Just that my critical reading score is a little low.

I’m confused peteyflow - didn’t you post this in May http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?p=4141476#post4141476
I am a Junior. I almost got my Senator nomination done. I’m going to turn them in around June so that they can receive it as soon as possible. And Im working on congressman nomination, just the recommendation part. I am taking another SAT this June. i already got 2000. Aiming for 2100 at least.

:

yeah… on the practice test… i got 2000!!! exactly 2060! but damn I got 1800 on the real test. I dont know why…

thats why im pretty ****ed right now

I’m gonna be honest, but the scores you hear aren’t gonna help too much. It’s all about your competition. Unless you know some guys in your own district, then our scores won’t be of significant assistance. You could have some Einsteins over where you live, or you can have some total idiots that are applying with you. So it’s all basically who you gotta beat. So it sounds like first, you gotta beat your own bro (I think you said he’s applying to WP too).

im hoping we both get in. I heard there are some twins at West Point

There are/were. One pair were both on the Crew team and left for a year to do missionary work, there was another pair in 08, I know there was a pair that was split between regiments…sucks when your 1SG is an identical twin…they got upset at their plebes for greeting them both wrong…I also had someone in my company who had a twin at Navy (black sheep of the family I guess!) and another person in my company had a twin at a “normal” school. Pretty awesome, you’d always have someone to borrow uniform items from :)

haha! lol thats funny

And there are twins in separate classes. For example, there is a young man in the class of '09. His twin went to a civilian college and then joined the class of '10 as he wanted the outstanding experiences his brother was talking about. Then again, there are some twins who choose very different routes and wouldn’t borrow each other’s clothes - no matter what.

There are a set of twins in c/o 2009 from the same h.s. my son attended. Also, this year at our state’s accepted candidates lunch I sat with a family who has twin boys. One going to USMAPS this year and the other is in c/o 2011.
