Some people work from reverse-chronologically on the Math section, some people go straight to the questions and don’t read the passages on the CR section, etc.

How do you take the SAT?

Some people work from reverse-chronologically on the Math section, some people go straight to the questions and don’t read the passages on the CR section, etc.

How do you take the SAT?

I just go from 1 to whenever.

The only time I really differed was when I was cramped for time on a writing section. I didn’t have enough to read the whole paragraph so I just went straight to the questions. Got them all right.

However, I’ve been practicing spending less than 30 seconds on each question. So, I should have enough time to do everything 25 minutes. 29 * .5 = 14.5 minutes to go through the first 29 questions, and then 10.5 minutes for the paragraph. Which won’t take more than 3-5, so then I’ll have time to review answers. :)

My methods:

Math: first few questions first, then work back to front
Reading: Barron’s 2400 method for long passages
Writing: I just work straight through the section
Essay: 4 paragraphs

Math: Beginning to end, in order
Critical Reading: Long passages, then (if applicable) the two shorter ones, then sentence completion
Writing: 5 paragraphs with three examples

I have the exact same method as 112358, ha.

Essay: Usually 4 paragraphs
Math: Back to front
Reading: Baron’s long passage strategy
Writing: Just straight through

Kind of crazy someone has the exact same strategy as me. I thought “mine” was fairly unique. Now all I have to do is master it to get me 2400. :)

What’s the barrons strategy?

Thank you.

^^The questions generally go from easy to hard, so it’s like spending the time on the harder ones and not wearing yourself out on little stupid ones.
