Gifted this elsewhere so figured I might as well spread that gift to CC!!!
Easy quiz to evaluate your energy levels and what might be affecting it.
Do you consider yourself high energy? Average? Sluggish? Does weather affect it? Movement help it?
I often say I don’t get “tired”. I don’t need a mid day break (break does not have to equal nap). I do fine on less sleep here and there. Movement IS a key for me - I knew that before I took the quiz.
My quiz results:
“Most of your energy comes resting, moving, eating. But you need to work on finding enjoyment and connection” (social connection)
I think the connection is ON THE NOSE for me. I don’t seek a lot of social connection. I’m working on that!
Do you wish you had more? Are you satisfied with your energy?
So I think they are saying “if you want more energy (think of energy as physical energy but also sort of that zest for life, motivation, etc.), look for more human connections in your life”.
But that’s where I have a problem with these kinds of helpful hints. Making more human connections in life zaps my energy, it doesn’t help it. It makes me stressed and anxious. If I want more energy, I need more alone time!
I guess you can’t write hints that will cover everyone.
For sure. And that’s why I posed that question to @ChoatieMom - if she’s happy with her energy/vibe, then move on! Sure, no quiz can cover individuals - but it can or could identify some areas that might be an area where you could make some changes - if desired.
I love my alone time. But to be honest sometimes it’s because I feel I haven’t found "my tribe’ to want to share some of my time - recently I’ve made some life changes in terms of who I have contact with … and I’ve found that that human connection, I’m willing to have more of it with the right people!!!
I have plenty of “energy.” Like @ClassicMom98, I find social interactions draining. I was guilty of enjoying my pandemic isolation and dreaded re-engagement. I have a very small circle of friends that I am not looking to expand as even they, at times, are too much “work.” But they know me and understand.
