Hello All,
This is my first post to this forum.

I received a letter today (Feb 28) indicating that I’ve been accepted (Yay!).
The thing is that I applied regular decision…
How typical/atypical is this sort of thing?

Hello All,
This is my first post to this forum.

I received a letter today (Feb 28) indicating that I’ve been accepted (Yay!).

How typical/atypical is this sort of thing?

Early regular decisions sometimes go to people like Westinghouse participants.

ah, that makes sense in the context of me being an intel semi and such.

Thank you for the clarification

What if you were not involved in any such thing?.. How do you verify it’s real (seems so unreal!)

I think Stanford could find out who participated in ISEF…

What I meant to say… are there any other reasons why you would get the letter early…

If you are not a recruited athlete, a diversity case, or some other special talent, you are probably not going to get one. And, it is probably getting a little late in the season anyway. Wait for April Fool’s Day. :)

Is there any way to verify if a letter from Stanford is real? [without actually calling the Office of Admissions]

Has Stanford already informed all the regular decision candidates? I am still waiting for a letter. May be bad news!

no they haven’t
you should be able to check online around april 1st, good luck!

What is the website for checking your status online for Stanford? Are they posting on April 1 or tomorrow like most of the Ivies???
