When are they mailing

If you get news, post here!

From the transfer application blog:

We might be a few days behind in recording this information since we’re busy trying to get the first-year decisions out the door but we’re fairly close.

they said that they will have a new updated post on their blogspot (uncommonapplication.blogspot.com) saying that decisions had been mailed.
so im going to stalk their blogspot like crazy to see if they have a new update or not. so far i just see an increase of comments on the lastest post and no new post!! X_X

This was just posted on the blog:

It looks like they won’t be mailing until next week - unless I’m reading this wrong. This is giving me a serious headache - how did one blackout cause almost a week’s delay in recieving a decision! :(

They probably weren’t going to make the march 22nd deadline

I estimate Friday.

what!?!?!? next week??!?! noooooo!

We’ll see. Let’s be patient.

That post makes it look like sometime next week, and maybe not Monday. Have a good weekend, everybody.

“how did one blackout cause almost a week’s delay in recieving a decision!”

You know all those wonderful essays you kids wrote … they read them, and thought about them, and discussed them. That all takes time.

bummer…I was hoping to hear from Chicago before the Ivies. :(

me toooo (10 char)

They should have said that they were sending on March 28th instead of the 22nd. UCLA did something like that…said the 15th but I knew by the 9th or 10th. And it just makes it that much sweeter to know before you expect to know.

Right. Except that they were going to originally mail on the 22nd and then they said that because of a blackout there would be a delay. By a delay I thought they meant a maximum of one maybe two days. If they want to take more time to review applications that’s fine with me - as long as they just tell us what they’re doing. A 24 hour delay does not turn into a 3-4 delay without some other reason. We just don’t know what it is.

Corrected SAT scores?

It’s confirmed:

Goody, more delays. As logn as they’re mailed in under a week, I’m okay with it.

The letters are being mailed out on the 25th, this is coming from a coach who said it was straight from admissions. That’s Saturday, right?

yup

meaning I will have my letter by either saturday or more likely monday and at worst tuesday

I very much suspect the Chicago letters will go out before the Ivies’; they will want to use whatever methods they can (including the initial joy of a first acceptance) to attract students to Chicago from higher rated institutions.
