One of my favorite articles regarding your child’s teen years. I read it from time to time and it always brings a tear to my eye. Enjoy!

Love this!!!
Nice!
Sweet, and so true. Though my 17 year old seems to be a cat-dog, usually a dog at night, before he falls asleep, and a cat for sure in the morning. In between, its catch-as-catch can, hard to know which one I have in front of me.
Excellent!
Thank you. Love it! Just sent this to my DH. He is so sad about his dog turning into a cat and takes it very personally.
Love it…fits my first DS exactly!
Thanks for sharing this. This is exactly what I’ve been trying to tell my husband for months - but this says it so much better than I was able to! Great article.
This was printed in Reader’s Digest so many years ago that my kids were young teens. It has been updated now. I I kind of liked the old version. Was just thinking about copying it for my kids to use on their kids but it’s a little early yet.
Purrrrrfect!
My cats are a lot more affectionate and wanting of attention than the aloof one in this essay, thank goodness.
Wow, it is good to know I am not the only one. I don’t think we noticed it as much with our D, maybe because we had a younger S who kept us busy, or else our memories have blocked the pain. Our S is 14 and it is super tough at the moment!
So cute and so true!!
