When do decisions come out?

Do we know for sure yet?

31st. 5:00 P.M.

Dang, I'm scared. =(

is this for all the undergraduate schools, or just columbia college?

just for ivy league schools plus some others

i mean all the undergraduate schools in columbia university.

You should be.

eight days!! wow!

do they send emails, or do we have to check the decisions online?

^ I don't know if they directly email the decisions to you, but they'll inform you through email if your decision is online. It's almost the same thing.

is anyone else suffering from severe insomnia and nervousness!? I've already heard from some schools but I am so nervous about receiving the last five decisions...mostly from Ivies and some other of my top choices

how are you coping????

I was gonna watch March Madness...then I realized that probably wasn't a good idea!

If you are accepted you will get a big package delivered overnight.

Will the package be delivered ON the 31st? I'd like to know online first, so hopefully the letter will arrive after.

You will know online first. You should get an e-mail sometime after 5pm telling you that your decision is available online, with a reminder of your CU code and a link to the page (it's on the blue and gray "Apply Yourself" site where you first submitted your application, and where you've probably been checking over the past few months to know that everything was received).

If you're really dying to know the second the decision is available, just go to that page sometime before 5pm and keep refreshing when the hour approaches.

Personally, I think the first option might be less stressful ;)...the news might get to your inbox 15 minutes after it gets posted on the site, but just forget about the upcoming decision and let it arrive when it arrives.

Your letter should arrive the next day.

Five PM in what time zone?

The time zone in which New York state is located...

Here's the official letter; it's got all the details about the decisions.

Dear ******,

Thank you for your application to Columbia University. We are nearing the end of our application review and will soon notify candidates of our decisions.

You can receive your decision online. We plan to post all decisions here on Monday, March 31, 2008, after 5:00pm (Eastern Time).

We are also mailing decisions, so you will receive a decision letter by mail as well.

If you applied online, to view your decision you will need both the PIN and password you created when you submitted your application. Your PIN appears at the top of this e-mail. If you have lost or forgotten your password, click here to receive your password via e-mail.

If you submitted a paper application, a PIN created for you appears at the top of this e-mail. To receive your password, please click on the "Forgot your PIN or Password?" button here. You will then be able to use this PIN and password to check your decision online.

If you have questions, please contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 212-854-2522 or ugrad-ask@columbia.edu.
