When do I get my decisions?

Applied Jan 3rd
No FA
International

I applied on the exact same date.
From California.
Haven’t heard yet either. =/

Applied Dec 30th
No FA
International too.
the wait is killing me…

I applied October 20th… got deferred, still no decision!

Common Michigan!

i applied beginning of november, got deferred, and then recently got accepted. I think its pretty random because of how many applications they got this year. Also might have something to do with the college you applied to?..

@Cdub16
To which college did you apply?

I was deferred then accepted last Friday. I would assume that they will be releasing more decisions this Friday as well. Visiting next week!

I got deferred, too, but no decision yet. OMG Umich please tell me that I am accepted… Can’t wait any more! IT’S NERVOUS

@KyleTwentyEleven

Which college did you apply to? LSA?

According to people who got accepted to last year, it’s alphabetical.
So if Z people are getting accepted and you aren’t you are probably waitlisted or rejected.

Can everybody post their last name here so that we can expect the results?

Mine is Pai

I applied to the College Of Engineering

applied in Octoberr. Deferred in December.
LSA
SAT 2190 superscore
GPA uw 3.7ish weight 4.0ish
Northern Virginia
Surname: McC

…mine is Ahmed. I was deferred in EA so I’m most definitely rejected?

Wow this sucks.

My lastname starts with S, so if it is alphabetical, I still stand a chance. However, I don’t think it’s alphabetical. Think about it, would it be fair for someone whose lastname starts with a Z to be disadvantaged?

I know someone whose last name is Z. She was accepted. So does that mean, we are all out of luck? I don’t think that is right, at least I really hope not

I do not think so.
Some of them are internationals and some of them are in-state.

Yeah I’m a pre-Business LSA student

There may be a chance that they are following a pre-designated order.

Besides our UMich ID, each of us have an application number. Maybe this will be a starting point for us to understand their logic.

From my experience (in state), they notify (at least) a whole school at once. Not alphabetical at all. If a lot of people in your school suddenly hear they are accepted, and you don’t hear, prob not good news. Don’t know how they handle international, though.

Do you get an email?
