brian, I know it goes on, but that type of thing has always struck me as being silly. I mean really, what do future applicants ever really have to do with some esoteric circumstance from the past? Yet time and time again, I hear stories about colleges essentially penalizing students from schools where something didn’t go their way regarding a prior applicant. I feel bad for the unfortunate kid who, through no control of his/her own, gets rejected over such underhanded revenge tactics. I truly hope that is not the case with applicants from your school.

Got the letter. Waitlisted.
Bittersweet, because I wasn’t expecting much being an OOS female, but still would have loved to go.

Believe me, I know. When BC denied my daughter (although she was a legacy of Summa) they sent a note to the guidance guy at the school advising him to have me call the Admissions Officer directly at BC. So I did, and the guy went pscho! I spent 30 minutes apologizing for things I never did. It was clear that there would be repercussions against the high school because I called when they (BC) suggested I do so. There are so many kids applying to the same small list of schools, that it is now lunacy…

Accepted!
I can’t believe it considering that i am out of state

Waitlisted, so I have been waitlisted at Boston College and William and Mary. Was rejected to Cornell. I guess I’ll be going to Penn State in the fall.

Well, nothing in the mail today either.

Is William and Mary need blind?

where are you guys who got your decision from OOS?

Maryland. Waitlisted, if I am reading through the envelope correctly. Postmarked Monday.

Rejected.

Heartbroken. Don’t really know what to say. Wasn’t expecting it.

I just called the office of admission about the evite, and they said that they had not sent evites to all students, and if you have not received one, not to worry.

They just sent them out on April 1st and they should arrive in a couple of days.

I’m in Connecticut

im in maryland

I’m sorry to hear that, kellie! I’m sure everything will work out in the end, though, so keep your head up!
