It seems most UCs start sending out acceptance/rejection notice between March 19th and MAY 1st.

this begs the question, when do officers stop reviewing applicants? is the admission’s process till on-going? does the process stop on march 19th or continue into May?

They stop reading when they’ve read all the apps, which has to be by May 1st. It goes past the 19th and up until May. I don’t know exact dates because I don’t work in the admissions office of any UC’s. But, admissions officers and staff, contrary to popular belief, aren’t evil people; they don’t finish in January and sit on the decisions until May. They read the apps a few times and some of the borderline ones go to a committee and they come up with the final decision. While the review process ends by May, they’ll pull out your app again in July/August and make sure your transcripts match what you reported.

i would say it doesn’t end till after may. Students send in appeals that need to be addressed. If it is a single day, then technically all decisions would have been made by that day- i.e. UCB and UCLA

For the other schools, it is a ROLLING admissions process. Apps are approved and rejected on an ongoing basis UNTIL May 1st.

so yes, applications are still being reviewed and does not stop on March 19th.
