When do OOS Scholarship notifications (PES, etc.) usually come out?

Howdy! My family member was recently admitted to the Class of 2030 (OOS) and I’m trying to get a feel for the scholarship timeline.

Specifically, does anyone know when PES (President’s Endowed) or other merit-based scholarships usually hit the portal for OOS students?

As an out-of-state applicant, kid is really relying on scholarship.Has anyone in this cycle received their package yet? Thanks in advance!

I don’t have an answer but I thought last years thread would say when people started getting. After all it was well over 2k messages.
There was a few frustrated they didn’t get but no one said they received.

Contact admissions on Monday and ask. They’ll tell you.

Just to give an expectation, per CDS 1622 of 12,055 received merit, on average of $5,474.

Good luck

Unless student is NMS/F, receiving any $ for an OOS student will be next to impossible. They did away for the OOS Maroon scholarship a couple years ago. And to qualify for in-state tuition is equally as difficult-must receive $4k in academic scholarships…which is difficult, especially for OOS.

In short, don’t expect any scholarships-as OOS-unless MNSF.

@Er-ygang as you need $$ and it’s unlikely, hopefully you have an assured and affordable school on your list. If not, let us know and we can help you identify some.

We are OOS and my kid is NMSF but didn’t qualify for NMF (low grades). I know that means $3k in scholarships, wondering how likely it is that he’d be able to get the extra 1k to get in state tuition?

About one in 7.5 got merit last year so likely not great. But Tulsa would be a near full ride

Tuition, dorm and $750 a year.

Are you going to A&M regardless or you need the $$.

Likely won’t go unless we could get it closer to in-state rates, he had other options though he’d prefer Texas for sure.

Good luck.

Tbh, it’ll be difficult to get that extra $1,000 to qualify for in-state. The PES is fantastic-by A&M standards (it’s HARD to get scholarship $), but if you’re OOS, it won’t get you in-state tuition.
