i found out i got accepted a couple days ago.
if it says accept next to the school name you applied to you are in right?
because one of them is accept and the other says waitlist. what does that mean?
when do the acceptance letters get back.
i can’t think anymore

were we suppose to get an email too? because i dint’ get one.

I got my packet in the mail yesterday - it was pretty cool and the envelope says “this is your official fat letter” across the front, kind of hard to miss. I live in Chicago and my acceptance letter was dated March 24.

alright so maybe i’ll get it tomorrow? i dotn’ live that far away.
can anyone answer my other questions?

I believe that it means exactly what you think it means.

“Admit” means you were admitted to the school.
“Waitlist” means that you were waitlisted at the school.

“Admit” means that you have received a place in the college, and should you choose to matriculate, you may attend that school.
“Waitlist” means that you have been placed on a waiting list for that college, and if others decline their offer (“admit”) to that school, you may receive their place if you are lucky.

so its normal that i didn’t get myacceptance letter yet

Depending on where you live, you should have it in a few days. I was in the first wave (letter dated 3/24, posted online 3/28), and just got mine yesterday (Saturday). If you were in a later wave, you will get it in a few days. And no, they did not send emails.

Also, if you are confused about the admit/waitlist thing, you should def talk to the school to get your questions answered. In the nice FAT package there is a phone number you can call to speak with an admissions person to ask all of your questions.

Good luck!

I don’t think you have to worry about the official letter. I was notified online during the first wave (3/28), but my letter mail date was 3/27 and I haven’t received my packet yet.

i was accepted on Friday too but didn’t get any email/mail yet

How FAT is the package? Fatter than nyu’s? northeastern’s? The fattest one I got was from nyu so far, and it’s pretty thin.

the fattest I’ve gotten is from USC. Okay, it’s not fat, more like obese.

Haha, I got the USC one too. It’s huuuuuge. I also got a letter the other day from them saying that I should be receiving a book soon. A book!
