<p>you can sign up for whatever you want whenever you want provided that you meet the prerequisites (restricted by major, junior/senior only, need to have taken a certain class before…), and the class isn’t full. elementary chinese seems to be somewhat of a rigorous class, though, meeting everday and being worth 5 credits. it might be a good idea to put somethgin like this (that probably doesnt count towards your major) off until senior year.</p>
<p>I have bad news, all the intro level Chinese classes are full. Two of them are already overloaded with extra students. However, if you are considering majoring in EALC, I would reccomend talking to an advisor and you might be able to get in.</p>

<p>Yes, they are completely full. Most of the small and interesting courses will be full for you.</p>
