i think i qualify for one since i got two 3’s last year and two 4’s and a 3 this year. I got my scores from this year but it doesnt say i have gotten an ap scholar award…

You get them from the school in september. By the way did u get the scores in the mail today? i haven’t gotten mine yet and im so desperate im about to call and pay money to hear what i got.

You qualify for AP Scholar with Honor.
They’re mailed to you later. Wait a few more months.

yes i have received my scoresin the mail :)

Why is this in HSL?

Anyway, you’ll receive any AP-related awards in the fall.

How big of a deal is National AP Scholar after junior year when applying to colleges?

^ On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being a very big deal comparable to being a USAMO qualifier, probably a 6 or 7.

^You know this how?

^ There’s a thread about the weight given to particular awards/honors
I’m too lazy to find it so if you want to see it then go find it yourself

^And how do you know this is truthful information?

^ dude…it’s CC. enough said.

LoL, some people on CC are wrong…such as you being wrong for overdoing EC’s thinking you can just waltz around taking and starting whatever. Just saying.

I sense a fight a-comin on.

^^ Um, excuse me? Wrong, incorrect information =/= judgment in action

And **, I didn’t even think that I can “just waltz around taking and starting whatever.” Most of those clubs are clubs where you don’t do anything because of the fact that they are honor societies. The only clubs I listed where you even do anything is JSA, and probably FBLA in some aspects. Plus, what does overdoing extracurriculars have anything to do with false information? Overdoing something is an action which has no correlation to anything that is representative and tangible like of incorrect information that someone says. You are obviously full of bias and spite towards me, of which I do not know where it comes from seeing as I (A) don’t know you because (B) I have rarely seen you post, which is probably the reason why you are so distrustful of CC. You are also probably feeling insecure seeing as you had to call me out on an insignificant and completely unrelated course of action I have taken and just *had to add that to your preceding statement.

and besides, the thread was a 20+ page discussion filled with lengthy discussions. if you would bother to go search it up, you’ll see that their information is 100% true and valid. that’s like saying RSI or TASP is worth nilch on college applications just because someone on CC said that it was a very godly item on college applications but not believing his or her word just because “some people on CC are wrong.”

What is the point of starting a club “where you don’t [even] do anything?”

National AP Scholar Award being rank 6? Hmm. Some people on the AP Tests Preparation Forum have opposite opinions.

^^ Not going to lie…but my friends and I are fond of titles.
But being totally honest, though, it would be nice having some new clubs that people can join at my extracurricular-deprived school. The variety of clubs here is incredibly lame and the clubs are weird ones, too, at best: Environmental Science Club, History Club, Gay Straight Alliance, Asian Entertainment Club, Eastern Horizon Club, Jesus Club, and some academic program similar to NHS but it’s just for the school. I think the only normal clubs are key Club, CSF, and American Red Cross Club. I mean seriously…we don’t even have a club related to legitimate science instead of ENVIRONMENTAL science nor one for math. It would be nice introducing a new culture of clubs and honor societies that are actually acclaimed in schools all over the US and ones that are favorable among the top schools. A little elitist, but whatever.

^^His point is to get some clubs on his resume, not actually make a difference in his school or community. I hope I cleared the confusion, christian soldier.

^ Lol yeah haha. The only clubs I truly care about are American Red Cross and History Club and, if made, FBLA and JSA (pursuing MBA when I grow up).

I’m actually fond of obtaining the National AP Scholar Award myself, too.

Clubs at my school, too, are boring. Pretty much you have the same typical clubs as anywhere else. That is why I have so little ECs. Two clubs I am only involved in are just Mock Trial and Mathletes. I wish there was a Science Olympiad at my school, but too much of a hassle to start one.
