When does Emory release Financial Aid for RD?

<p>Hullo,</p>

<p>I applied for RD and got into Emory! However, I submitted most of my financial aid documents after the March 1 deadline. They received all of them around March 15th. Their website states that:</p>

<p>“Students Whose Files Are Complete By March 1st Will Receive Online Award Notifications Prior to the May 1st Admission deadline.”</p>

<p>Does this mean that I won’t be noticed about my financial aid award until after May 1st (the day the deposit is due!).</p>

<p>If you have ever been in this situation, can you please tell me how it worked out for you. Because I am NOT going to pay a $450 deposit for the CHANCE that I’ll be satisfied with my financial aid package! Right now I’ll be able to attend UGA for about $0-$5,000. My goal is to get out of school without too many loans and I’ve heard so many terrible things about Emory Advantage and the interest rate attached to their loans!</p>

<p>I got my FA award when I got my decision.</p>

<p>I think you got your FA award when you received your admission decision because you sent the info in on time.</p>

<p>I, however, did not. That’s why I’m asking what date I’ll be notified if I sent my tax documents in late.</p>

<p>you’ll be fine. last year i submitted after the deadline. in fact all of my documents weren’t ready till mid april (ha). my finaid was not affected. good luck! also i don’t think they really stick to that deadline. for example for current students, the deadline for submitting finaid docs is may 1st.</p>
