When does the College Board Net Price Calculator typically get updated?

Just curious (so don’t need a super defined answer), but I’d like to get a sense of when net price calculators (the College Board NPC seems to be the one that most colleges that we’re interested in uses) typically get updated? I realize that the colleges themselves will have to enter in their updated tuition/costs, but is there a typical or normal date when you might expect the calculator to get updated for a school for a new admissions year? I’m curious if it might change from when we’re actively evaluating colleges (spring) to when applications are due (fall).

Thanks!

Many colleges are doing that about now. They don’t update until they have established their cost of attendance for the academic year.

Got it - thanks! It does sound like we’ll end up running these multiple times - once when looking to see what looks interesting and then again right before applications go in to confirm everything is ok.

Also been wondering this: it looks like in 2022 they updated at end of September (all I could find). College Board Net Price Calculator Adds Support for the 2023-24 Academic Year – All Access | College Board

We have used NPCs for a preliminary list, but expect to run them again in October before solidifying RD schools.

Update timing is likely to vary by college, since The College Board likely allows each college to update its parameters to the NPC template whenever the college chooses to.
