I can’t stop thinking about this awful murder. It is a perfect example of the way in which a desire to be helpful and a reluctance to appear rude can put people, especially women, in danger.

This poor woman had a gut feeling that something wasn’t right and yet she went to help this guy out anyway. She even called her former boyfriend to tell him where she was going because she wanted someone to know her whereabouts.

I have been haunted by this story since first reading it. It’s so tragic. Two awful individuals ending the life of a wonderful, productive member of society and leaving that town’s students without a beloved teacher, family and friends without a loved one, and a poor baby without his mom. And for what?! Devastating.

Terrible. You should trust your instincts and if you feel something is off, it probably is. I hope these people never see a free moment for the rest of their miserable lives.

My God, what a horrifying story! So sad. So pointless. This couple epitomize the words sick, and monstrous, and I hope they’re sent to prison for the rest of their natural lives. That poor motherless child…:(

I wonder how many women this couple called that night trying to lure someone out. Too many times women ignore that gut feeling of danger. That poor family and little child. How could they do that with that baby in the back seat? Just shakes you to the core.

Well, I think he had his sights set on this woman. Apparently he had asked her out a few times and she felt uncomfortable around him. I don’t understand why they are only being charged with second degree murder. It seems to have been premeditated, if only for a short time before the event.
