Unless one’s in the very position of one of the students who was directly affected by the long negative historical legacy and baggage from recent racist events on campus/around the country…it’s not your, mine, or anyone who’s not in that position’s call to make.
Likewise, unless one is personally guilty of such an infraction, it is not anyone’s call to impose any type of group guilt as a result.
That only holds unless the students themselves adopt the same belief systems or behave in a manner which brings up or reinforces that long negative historical legacy or effectively provides cover for them to do so. And there apparently has been plenty of that on that campus and across the country judging by recent events.
