When Is Move-In Day to UCLA? (Move-In Transfer Assistant)

I received an email saying i’ve been selected to be a UCLA Rieber Terrace move in assistant and can’t help but wonder when the move in day for us is ?

Simply to begin to plan ahead.

September 15th :)

Awesome.

So on that day we start moving our stuff in. And I’m guessing on like the 18th the regular move in begins? So we have three days to move in first?

It’s September 13, not 15th.

Sweet, how can I verify this?

I wouldn’t want to show up a few days early with gear in my hand and shunned away.

Are you sure Pug? Because I know a few people who are move in day assistants and they’re moving in on the 15th?

I called the Rieber Terrace office and all they told me was to be on the look out for an email with the the Move in Assistant info sometime next week.

I was picked to be a Move-In Assistant for Sunset Village and the e-mail I received said I would be moving in on the 13th of September.

Here’s the portion where it discusses the move in date:

“As compensation for this work done prior to the opening you will be granted permission to move into Canyon Point starting at 5pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, (three days earlier than the scheduled move-in date) at no additional charge. In addition to moving in early, you will be provided 3 meals a day and a t-shirt. Check-in to your room will take place at Sproul Front Desk. You will receive further instructions and logistical information from me next week.”

Maybe the date is different for Rieber Terrace MIA’s?

…Guess we’ll just be waiting for that email.

Either way, all Move-In-Assistant shoot say hello.

As the days inch by closer and the weeks rapidly transpire, I’m getting *****ing ridiculously excited.

I’m in Rieber Terrace, so it’s time to to get excited!

GET EXCITED.

My email said to confirm that we can do it, but I have no idea if there’s somewhere online we’re supposed to confirm? Did your email say what to do?

Hi! I’m actually going to be in Rieber Terrace as well as a Move- in assistant. I sent an email reply back to my confirmation email and they told me that we can move in Sept 13th after 5pm and that the first meeting would be at 845? So I guess sometime between 5-845. I’m still holding out for the official email but I’m so glad to see another transfer in Terrace that’s doing MIA!

I’m really hoping as well its 8/13, though will probably hold out for that email as well.

Still waiting for that confirmation email. Kinda stressing about this. I wanna move in on the 13th!!!

I got the confirmation email on Wednesday. You didn’t get it holidays?

Mount Vernon, I did not.

Perhaps it went through my gmail junk system, though gmail is usually pretty good about showing me UCLA emails.

Are you located at rieber terrace as well?

No, I’m in Courtside (Sunset Village)

Hopefully we all get to meet and hang out during our early move in.

@MountVernon,

I just checked the Move-In site, not Move-In-Assistant and it said my move in date was 8/17 on Saturday. I changed it to the earliest date possible which is on Friday 8/16…

I’m confused considering I did get that move in assistant confirmation email that i’ve been selected to be an assistant and to be on the lookout for that email you mentioned you received, though I didn’t.

I guess I may have to call them on Monday and would appreciate any phone number/contact info that may have been included in the last Move-In Assistant email you received and I didn’t.

Please.

Did you reply back to the “Congratulations!!!” email? It said there that you had to reply back by a certain time (mine said the next day at 5pm) or your position as a MIA would be compromised. I sent one back saying something like, “I’m still available and looking forward to helping out etc.”

Check back to that initial email there should be a phone number/email for your resident director. Mine has the one for Delta Terrace so I don’t know how much help that would be to you since you’re in Reiber Terrace.

Good Luck!

I didn’t exactly receive an email telling me when to move in. I actually had to send an email to the person who sent me the confirmation email asking about the info. I don’t think they sent out a mass email to all the MIA’s yet. =</p>

I’m set to call UCLA tomorrow (Tuesday). I’ll post here w/ results as to what they say ASAP as i’m seriously wanting to move in sooner rather than later.
