When is the best time to send SAT scores for RD?

Hi, I am applying to all of the schools RD and a couple of UCs, all of their test scores deadline are after the application deadline, but when is the best time to send in my SAT and TOEFL scores exactly? Before I send in my whole application or after?

Also, because i took the SATs twice, the schools automaticlly choose the higher one, right?

Thanks :)

It takes about 10 days for them to get to the college of your choosing so you can decide when to send them based on that!
Depending on the college, they choose the higher one. Check with your college first!

joann: they are looking for a way to admit you: yes they’ll look at your highest scores.

If you have your scores ready, you should send them early even before your application.

If applying RD you should just send them before or at the same time you send the application unless you are applying close to a deadline in which case you should send them about two weeks before.

Colleges fall into two groups if you send multiple SAT tests. One group, the majority which includes most private universities, superscores the tests using for admission the highest section scores from the multiple tests. The other group, which includes the majority of public universities, uses that test with the highest composite (or highest combined math and reading if college does not use writing section). Despite that all colleges profess that in those situations the lower scores or tests will not be held against you, many applicants cannot bring themselves to believe that the lower scores will not be used against them. You just need to decide whether you are going to accept that colleges are telling the truth or instead fret about your lower scores throughout the process.

Just note that you mention applying to a couple UCs. You need send official scores to only one of the UCs to which you apply and all others will get them from the one.
