When is the class schedule out?

How would I know which subjects are on offer for Fall 08 and Spring 09, particularly for Math subjects. When is the class schedule gonna be out? When does registration begin? Do classes fill up fast?

1) schedule.berkeley.edu

2) http://registrar.berkeley.edu/StudentSystems/tbinfo.html

3) About 3 weeks before the first Telebears appointment begins, #1 is updated.

With those three points of information, you can answer all of your questions save the last one, to which the answer is obviously “it depends.” By rule of thumb, the more necessary it is for a popular field or for GEs (ie, Econ 1, R1A/R1B, business classes, etc.) or a popular language (ie, French 1, Spanish 1, etc.), the quicker it will fill.

If I remember correctly, you’re more interested in upper division math. You shouldn’t have much trouble at all getting into courses you’re interested in within the Math department. Upper division math isn’t exactly something that the vast majority of Berkeley undergrads would be likely to take.

The schedule is indeed out for Fall 2008 already: http://schedule.berkeley.edu

thank you! got just what i was looking for =)
As some of you might already know, i am going to be an exchange student at Cal. I will major in Mathematics for the duration. Im wondering if I would be allowed to take CS courses (both undergrad & grad - CS 1xx and 2xx) as electives, because I saw on some threads that apparently there are some restrictions of taking CS courses for non-CS majors
