<p>You’re actually incorrect. The only financial aid deadline for Penn WAS Feb 1. Because there were significant delays in processing of applications and many people did not have their portal information until recently, or still do not have their information, the deadline was extended to the 27th. They have kept a priority deadline as the 1st to encourage people to apply early so they can start processing financial aid in time for decisions.</p>
<p>I’ve visited their site several times, and I’ve always seen it. The first time was a month or so ago.</p>
<p>As for the mid-year, I think it’s whenever your school grades are available. Since schools have different schedules, it’d be hard to set a date for them.</p>
<p>One of my friends was told the deadline was extended by someone at Penn when he called. Also, I went through and created a checklist of financial aid requirements early to mid January and I am almost positive the only date listed for Penn was Feb 1.</p>
