When not to take the ACT

<p>At what point is an SAT score good enough that there is no reason to take the ACT? 2300? 2350?</p>

<p>You dont ever have to take the ACT, I dont see why SAT score would matter</p>

<p>I know you don’t have to take the ACT, but it’s generally recommended that students take both since most people do better on one that the other. I would imagine though, that after getting a certain score on the SAT there would be no real advantage gained by trying the ACT. I’m wondering what that score would be.</p>

<p>Honestly, if you are in your target school’s score range, then you are fine. If you’re looking at Harvard, getting above a 2250 does not solicit taking the ACTs. If you’re looking at an Ivy, above a 2200. If you’re looking at the Alaska Bible College, above a 1200…</p>
