When should Hillary quit? When will she?

andjoe8: I’m an Obama supporter. I don’t know what misleading photo you are talking about. But as far as the “Shrillary” appellation, I do not find Hillary to be nearly as shrill as I find her detractors on the conservative end of the political spectrum.

Most Obama supporters like Hillary and Bill- a lot, and don’t appreciate the mean-spirited attacks that she has been subjected to.

“a white man, like Richardson?”

Richardson is Latino.

I’d like to see him or Jim Webb on the ticket with Obama. Their strengths balance his weaknesses nicely, IMHO.

What Photo?

go to drudge or fox news.

don’t put too much credence on drudge.

It will be miracle if H wins the nomination ater surviving attacks from every corner of the world.

Hanna, you know, I donated to Richardson’s campaign and I’d forgotten he’s Latino! How embarrassing! But I’d also like to see him on the ballot with Obama. I’ll have to check out Jim Webb.

EK4: of course, the catch to Gregoire running with Obama is the lack of a good governor… Rossi gives me hives. But I’d love to see a woman on the ballot with Obama.

Obviously, I have a lot of desires for the Obama ticket! (First, that there is one.)

Photo and story has also hit: [ABC News: Online news, breaking news, feature stories and more](http://abcnews.go.com/) and [CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time - Blogs from CNN.com](http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/)

To answer the OP’s original question: Hillary should quit after she completes her two terms in office.(So that Chelsea can take over, of course).

The Obama campaign is overreacting to the photo IMHO. I think it’s cute!

True…they should be more concerned about getting ‘Savior of the world’ endorsment from Farrakhan.

[Farrakhan Extols High Praise On Obama, Nation Of Islam Leader Says Illinois Senator Is The “Hope Of The Entire World” - CBS News](http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/02/25/politics/main3872488.shtml)

Next, they’ll show him dressed up as an extra for the movie “Zulu”.

Come on, guys and gals, we KNOW why they are shopping the photo.

I’d really like to hear the Clinton camp either deny that they circulated the photo or explain why they did so. I’m waiting.

I wish Farrakhan had kept his mouth shut. His isn’t the help Obama needs.

Meanwhile, HRC should be ashamed of peddling the photo of Obama in Somali attire. Adds to my reasons for not wanting her as prez. I don’t want someone who knows how to take the high road when under pressure.

"The Clinton campaign did not comment on the distribution of the photo, but campaign manager Maggie Williams said the Obama campaign’s reaction was inflaming passions and distracting voters.

“Enough,” Williams said in a statement. “If Barack Obama’s campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed.”

According to today’s USAToday, Obama has surged to a double-digit poll lead over HRC nationally:

[Poll respondents: Obama will be nominee - USATODAY.com](http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/election2008/2008-02-25-poll-prez_N.htm)

That’s just among Democratic voters - doesn’t count independents.

But the picture will stem the tide. ;)

Michelle Obama is another example of someone reaching the American dream. As is true of her husband, she did not come from a privileged background.

While she’s an Ivy-trained lawyer (Princeton undergrad, Harvard law school), her background was: “Family Background: Born to Marian and Fraser Robinson, Michelle had two early role models in her parents. Her father, a city pump operator and Democratic precinct captain, worked and lived with multiple sclerosis; his limp and crutches did not affect his abilities as the family breadwinner. Michelle’s mother stayed home with her children until they reached high school. The family lived in a one-bedroom apartment on the top floor of a brick bungalow. The living room - converted with a divider down the middle - served as Michelle’s bedroom.
Childhood & Early Influences: Michelle and her older brother Craig, now an Ivy League basketball coach at Brown University, grew up hearing the story of their maternal grandfather. A carpenter who was denied union membership due to race, he was shut out of the city’s top construction jobs. Yet the children were taught they could succeed despite any prejudices they might encounter over race and color. Both children were bright and skipped second grade. Michelle entered a gifted program in sixth grade. From their parents - who had never attended college - Michelle and her brother learned that achievement and hard work were key.”

" From their parents - who had never attended college - Michelle and her brother learned that achievement and hard work were key."

I read somewhere that the reat divide in America is between those with a functional family and those without. I think that’s a good point.

Time for another Kodak + Kleenex moment. :p

Agree with NSM - Farrakhan is to Obama and the Democratic cause as Rush is to the Republican cause. (I just wish more Republicans would realize this about Rush…he helps us not at all. I’m just very pleased Rush despises McCain so much…)

Regarding the photo. I’m suspicious of how that came into Drudge’s hands. It would not be beneath Drudge to claim it came from the Clinton camp when it did not, and it would be an uncharacteristically stupid move from the Clintons. No one knows better how to trash someone without getting their hands dirty than the Clintons.

And this whole fiasco benefits the conservative candidate…so I’d like to see that email.

Bottom line for this middle of the road Republican…I am so grateful for once I don’t feel panicky about an election. If McCain wins, I’m okay with it. If Obama wins, I’m okay with it. No Al Gore night sweats.

Oh, the HRC camp isn’t even bothering to deny it. I don’t know why you characterize it as “stupid” - it did what it was supposed to do perfectly well.
