<p>When should I begin looking for scholarships and filling out applications? I am currently a sophomore in high school.</p>
<p>There are a few avaialble to your age, usually essay contests and the like. Start now! Keep a file or notebook of ones for the future as you find them and get updated materials when the time comes. Most are annual, so then you will know what they are looking for and can prepare.</p>
<p>The VfW’s Voice of Democracy would be one you can do this year. Great program with local awards and $$$, usually at each level, depending on where you live, plus trips.</p>
