When to send college transcripts for DE students

My youngest just ran into a snafu with a college transcript (sent 9/30 via Parchment) getting matched up with their application & portal (sent 10/5, portal set up 10/7). Generally, is it okay to send a college transcript before submitting the application? Has anyone run into issues with sending transcripts ahead of the application?

Yes. Any materials sent before the application are simply added to the file
