I took the Dec. SAT last week, but am wondering if i should wait to see my scores on the 22nd before applying to schools for regular action deadlines. I’m a bit confused about the 4 free score reports… if I wait until Dec. 22nd to see my scores, will it take much longer to send the scores then if I sent them now? And if my scores are horrible and I don’t want them sent, but I already sent them before seeing them, would I be able to cancel them or something? So basically, would my chances of being accepted be better if I sent them now, before seeing my scores, as opposed to waiting to see how I did and then send them out? I hope this isn’t too confusing. Any help would be appreciated…

bump … anyone?

vivi: You asked about several factors: 1) what is the advantage of sending scores now vs later 2) will sending them earlier make a difference; does it take a long time
3) details about the “offer” to send free scores

The advantage of sending your scores now is the offer to send 4 free score reports. The disadvantage is not knowing what those scores look like. The offer will last only a short time, and definitely end before the scores are available. And no, you can’t rescind the request to send scores. Will it take a long time? Probably not. Just get them ordered out before 12/31.
