<p>I’m making my freshman schedule and I was wondering when would be a good time to fulfill my Global Core requirements?
I’m thinking of majoring in either a Science or Econ so I’m taking a calc and chem class to fulfill some prerequisites and the Science Core. I noticed in the Planning Guide that the Global Core was recommended for sophs and juniors, but is there a reason that it shouldn’t be taken freshman year? I placed out of the foreign language req. so I’ll only have about 5 classes a semester.</p>
<p>I’m not too sure about my majors yet so I thought that taking the Global Core freshman year would give me a little more time to decide and think about it.</p>
<p>i have friends who took a global core freshman year! no reason not to; just be careful that it is not a high level class with lots of prerequisites or that you think would be too difficult for a first year</p>
