When to take SAT I?

I’m a HS soph right now, junior next year… I haven’t taken any SAT’s yet besides SAT II Am History, which I got today, and I got a 760, which surprised me… Do you think it is the right time for me to take SAT over the summer? I have a review book and all…

You’re in the group that can now superscore. I expect this group will take the test multiple times, but be aware of the following:

For the SATs, the<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools Boardsays:

Quote:
The standard error of measurement (SEM) is approximately 30 points, indicating that, on average, if a test-taker takes the test again, there is a 68 percent chance that his or her second score will fall within a range 30 points above or below the first score.

If you are planning/needing to take another subject test OR are also going to take the ACT, get out your calendar and check the available dates for next year.

Rule of thumb is to try and complete the testing by the end of your junior year, so you can concentrate that summer and senior fall in completing the college applications.
