I didn’t know until a few weeks ago that SAT Subject Tests are vital (mostly because I live in a small town in the midwest and no one talks about anything but the ACT) and I want to take SAT II Math 1 and 2. Maybe Literature but I’m unsure. When would be a good time to take these and still be able to send them into colleges (I’m a Junior so October or November I’m assuming) and what kind of game plan should I make to prep for these? Also, How difficult is Math level 2 to study for if you have a limited knowledge of pre-calc?
Thanks!

October and November is correct. Some also take December and even January for RD (but I would go with December as the limit).

I’m fairly sure as long as you know up to basic trig, you should be fine for Math IIC. I took this last year while I was in Algebra II w/ Trig, but I learned all the “trig” part beforehand anyway and got an 800. I suggest taking a lot of practice tests and figuring out patterns in question types and answers. Over the summer, get several review books (especially Barron’s) and make sure you take at least 15-20 practice tests by October if you plan on taking it then.

I would also recommend against taking Literature and taking either Biology or Chemistry. I believe Chemistry is easier to score perfectly on, and it is a lot less difficult than the AP test. Literature is known as one of the most difficult tests to score well on.
