When will decisions be released?

I already ate all of my consolation swedish fish ]:

I’d say go and get some more … you’ll need it for the weekend.

I’d say share some with me XD

15th sounds like most likely release date now.

I’m okay with that. What’s another couple days?

Do they release on weekends ever?

stanford’s decisions were released and AHH!

wow…the stanfordites got pwned. it made me feel bad just reading it.

Yeah, I’m glad I didn’t apply to Stanford EA… although I guess it wouldn’t have made a difference.

Well I guess it would have, in that I wouldn’t be here during this month, but still.

I have this horrible feeling we’re going to get pwnd.

Must… think… happy… thoughts…

I’m so nervous D:

I don’t know whether I want to stay positive or be miserable until it comes. Do I want the crash to hurt more now or later?

I’m going to make a prediction:
I bet they mailed the decisions today and will send us emails Monday.

didn’t chicago have a 34% acceptance rate last year??? because that does not = Stanford…we will own Chicago by the end of the 15th not the other way around, don’t worry.

Yeah but Chicago’s acceptance rate is always going to be a little inflated because it’s not an essay you can submit for fun.

I mean, you can get your Joe Average to apply to Harvard for kicks because their essay is optional, and he’ll get a nice “Thank you for the donation” back. Joe isn’t going to apply to Chicago for fun, though, because it is significantly harder to write about putting objects into a particle accelerator than it is to write nothing.

Oh man…I feel like we’re on a ship towards battle and seeing all these ships in front of us get set on fire. Good luck, guys.

Wow the Stanford people got really grilled …

Good news for Chicago is that EA apps went down by 15%. That SHOULD help, and the fact that Chicago has the long essay to root out those people who seek out Chicago only for its prestige.

On the other hand, I think alot of people will be disappointed about MIT, b/c they saw their EA apps go up by 25%.

Either way, don’t be too optimistic come Monday, and prepare to deal with the worst possible scenario: rejection. Rejection won’t be the end of the world though. We’ll all have different places to go to …

But my heart will always cry out for Chicago.

Everyone needs to just take a chill pill, ok? Relax for the next couple of days. When we get the decision, we get the decision. Caaaalm.

there are 436 posts and we still dont have a conclusive answer

That’s probably because the admissions office wants you to go out and have a life. :-P

Yes, I KNOW it can be painful, but I didn’t know when my decision was coming, either, and I somehow survived.

hey, unalove, do more people get deferred than rejected by uchicago?

The more I wait, the more I question everything about my application… but what’s done is done. =/
