I recently go to Clark Atlanta University and I absolutely hate it and it is just October, I got the okay from my father that I can transfer for the spring semester and all I have to do was apply to schools. I have applied to Towson, Salisbury, WVU, and Cheyney. I honestly will take Towson, Salisbury, WVU or community college to get away from this horrid school and I really need to know when will I know their decision of my admissions? Also how can I make time go faster for the holidays because I am starting to get really home sick and I am 10 hours from home by driving
Your own local community college will probably give you an immediate response. So you can apply right now (probably even online), or just call them and find out when you would need to file the application in order to start in January. It’s perfectly OK for you to email the admissions offices at the other places, and ask how long it will take them to process your application. If you applied to and were admitted by any of those universities last spring, pick up the phone and call them. They might not even need a new application.
It looks like you are a Maryland resident. Happykid graduated from Montgomery College in Rockville, then transferred to Towson. She had a number of friends at MC who had started somewhere in the fall of the freshman year, but were at MC in January. They just didn’t like where they had started, and decided to come home where it was cheaper while they figured out what to do.
Meanwhile, do your best to keep your spirits up and keep your grades up so that you have a nice transcript to show to the college or university wherever you do end up transferring! If you need help, then depending in the kind of help you need, get to your professors’ office hours, the tutoring center on campus, or the counseling center. Before you know it, the semester will be over, and you will be on your way to your new life.
Wishing you all the best!
Great advice happymomof1. This definitely worth repeating.
