When Will I receive a Confirmation e-mail from UC Berkely?

I submitted my app on Novemeber 30’th but still haven’t gotten a confirmation e-mail of receipt and when I check within the UC application account it says the app has been submitted. Should I be worried? Is anyone else in the same situation? For those that have applied before, around what date is this information sent to your e-mail?is the date the same for all applicants? Thanks in advance!

I applied November 29th and still haven’t received any confirmation email. Give it a while. Wait until mid December then call the admissions office if you do not receive anything by then. The UC has received thousands of applications from around the country. Be patient

applied 28th and nothing yet either

I applied Nov 20th and received an email with portal info on the 25th. With the amount of applications submitted between the 27th and 30th I’d give it another week. One of my teachers told me she received names for letters of rec already. She was worried because I wasn’t on her list, but they also dont request letters for every student.

@haroldspants Hold up, how do the schools contact your teachers?(or know which teachers to contact?) Via common app you select teachers directly by searching for them(if they have accounts) or add their e-mails. I don’t recall seeing anything like that in the uc app. could you please explain to me how it works.

D received an email from “UC Application Center” saying her application was submitted (schools listed) and provided an application ID number. She received this the same day she submitted which was 11/29. Perhaps check spam folder. Or in gmail, I recently discovered some emails weren’t showing up in gmail unless actually doing a search in the inbox. Several emails are hidden for some reason.

Another simple way to confirm is to log back onto the portal - you will see a list of items you can click on, the last one being “application status” - click on that for another way to see the confirmation they received your application.

Son Applied Nov 28th. Received confirmatory email from UC portal but nothing from Berkeley directly

Applied on the 26th, and got LOR request and confirmation email.

I just received my confirmation email from UC Berkeley. It was in my junk mail!

@CultureVulture found out that students requests teachers within berkeley portal. i didn’t ask the teacher about it but im assuming it was students from who requested her

@haroldspants Uh let’s leave it at UC GPA 3.6 ACT 28 and applied as Undeclared/Natural Resources.

@Fishnlines29 we had the same issue of hidden email from UC in our gmail inbox. D could see it on her phone but we had to search for “UC” within gmail to see it in her Inbox (not junk or trash). It was an email about financial aid. Very strange it was hidden.

I applied the 29th and got email from Berkeley specifically on the 6th. Still haven’t gotten LOR request; UCB said they are sending the LORs out daily until Dec 16

Thanks guys, for all the advice and support. I finally received my student portal login details, today 9’th, I was beginning to lose hope.
