Now that Pace has finished auditioning for MT… Just wondering if anyone knows when offers will be made and how (call, email, mail)???

My son, a current MT Sophomore, was called by Amy Rogers on his cell phone.

@MTTwinsinCA Do you remember when calls were made? (Mid-March or April 1)?

I heard next week that calls will be made

To prove how past experience plays no role, my son was notified on Feb. 23, 2012 (I had to look up in past CC thread!). This year Pace hadn’t even finished all their auditions by that date. But yes, I imagine mid-March is a safe bet.

My daughter got the call from Amy on Feb. 28. Almost one week later! We were sweating it because we knew earlier calls had gone out.

Is the source that calls will be made next week a reliable one??

Yep! According to the school, at the very latest decisions will be sent out March 15th. Of course, on a year to year basis these things change at the discretion of the school, but if that is true then it seems like calls will probably start going out next week.

And I know also that they do this via phone call

@ylimecole They do acceptances and rejections via phone call or just acceptances? Have we gotten concrete numbers for how many auditioned and how many boys and girls to be offered spots?

Acceptances are by phone call from Amy Rogers. I’m pretty sure they don’t do rejections by phone call – there are so many. And that would be horrible, wouldn’t it? Lol. But I don’t know how they convey the rejections.

Our notes from Chicago auditions say that Amy told the parents that they take 24 for BFA MT, and generally more boys than girls.

She also said at Chicago Unifieds that she would try to start making phone calls by mid-March.

1100 auditioned for MT…it was a record breaking # I was told by a current student.

1100 sent in pre-screens?

If the 1100 is an accurate # then yes? Lol like I said, this came from a student so who knows if its true. But I did hear it was a record amount this year.

Don’t hold me to this, but I think Amy said at Unifieds that they had 700 that passed the prescreen.

maybe the 1100 were total applicants and 700 passed prescreen.

However, the prescreen deadline was late, February 15th. Conceivably, there were many who waited until the last minute that passed the prescreen and auditioned this past Sunday. The plot thickens… :)

Yes I agree with GSOMTMom…I actually know several kids who just auditioned last week due to late prescreens.

At the audition I remember them saying something about March 13th!
