<p>I submitted all my test scores (2130 SAT/32 ACT, and 690 Bio SAT2), I go to a well known, private school in NYC, I have a 3.5 GPA, and many leadership EC’s along with community service, writing, athletics, peer leadership. I have a rigorous curriculum with multiple honors and AP’s. I have connections at UMICH, I have met and interviewed with professors in different departments. I am applying to Kinesiology. I sent in my first choice letter on Oct. 2nd and after that everything was submitted. </p>
<p>The question at hand is when do you think I will hear back by?</p>

<p>Nachal, tough to say re timing as technically, the only commitment they make with EA is that they will give you some kind of response by Dec. 24. Sometimes with an “apparently” lower GPA (eg. 3.5 is borderline but because of your school rank likely competitive) they seem to wait a little longer to confirm the grade trend. S’s peers from magnet school heard anywhere from Nov.1 onward. My s. didn’t hear until the beginning of Dec. so we’d thought he was in trouble but in fact he’d earned a scholarship. So don’t let the timing psych you at all – just know you’ll have an inkling by Christmas and don’t take it as a bad sign if you don’t hear as early as others.</p>
